The styling that I want to create for Mrs Laderman is strong and controlling. I want to try to portray her as a teacher or professor. I also wanted to try to link it into the style of clothing that I want Claudia to wear so that they look similar to further highlight the influence that Mrs Laderman has over Claudia. I originally wanted Mrs Laderman to wear a blazer and white blouse, but when practising the look I decided that it looked too masculine. I then started considering using a robe, like one that would be worn by a university student or professor. I thought that this was a good idea as it could represent the professor and mentor element of the character of Mrs Laderman. I looked at images for inspiration as well as looking at whether my original design choices would look good.
